Weather:
Jordan has pleasant temperatures throughout most of the year. Summers, from May – October, are dry and mild with average temperatures of 23 Celsius. August is the hottest month, when temperatures may reach 40 Celsius. Cool breezes mark the highlands on most summer nights. The occasional rain and cool-to-relatively cold temperatures characterize winters with the occasional snow in the January months. January is the coldest month with the average winter temperature of about 7 Celsius. Yet the Jordan Valley and low-lying areas have pleasant, moderately cool winters.
